WHAT IS WATER BAPTISM?

Our
Story

Water Baptism
Water baptism is an outward expression of an inward decision. The Bible teaches that when we put our faith in Jesus, we are made new and brought into God’s family. Baptism is a public declaration of that new life.
When a person is baptized, it symbolizes:
-
Our faith in Jesus – trusting Him as Savior and Lord.
-
A new beginning – going under the water represents dying to our old life, and coming out of the water represents being raised to new life in Christ (Romans 6:4).
-
Obedience – Jesus Himself was baptized and calls His followers to do the same (Matthew 28:19).
-
A testimony – baptism is a way to share with others that you now belong to Christ.
Baptism does not save us—only faith in Jesus does that—but it is an important step of obedience and a beautiful celebration of God’s transforming work in your life.
