Upcoming Training Schedule & Course Details

Note: All upcoming trainings are now one-day sessions held on Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

LEVEL ONE: Foundations

  • Date: Saturday, August 15th

  • Location: The Refuge Church (290 Dunn Shortcut Road, Conway, SC)

  • What you will learn:

    • Learn the Biblical and historic basis for Chaplaincy

    • Distinguish between evangelism and outreach

    • Recognize who COH are called to reach and how

    • Identify the Five Pillars of a community

    • Internalize the “5 L’s” of every Chaplain of Hope

    • Develop an initial action plan for service as a Chaplain of Hope

LEVEL TWO: Leadership

  • Date: Saturday, September 5th

  • Location: Socastee Family Worship Center (3911 Socastee Blvd, Myrtle Beach, SC 29588)

  • What you will learn:

    • Understand success from a Chaplains of Hope perspective

    • Distinguish between Toxic Leaders and Servant Leaders

    • Learn the importance and dynamics of networking

    • Develop team-building skills

    • Embrace the value of personal health and self-care

    • Assess levels of Christian maturity and set goals to grow

LEVEL THREE: Crisis Intervention

  • Date: Saturday, September 26th

      •  

  • Location: TBD (Location will be confirmed and updated very soon!)

  • What you will learn:

    • Develop Mental Health Emergency Response Skills

    • Distinguish between signs and symptoms of a Mental Health Crisis v. Mental Illness

    • Respond to mental health crises among various community environments, age groups, populations, and ethnicities

    • Reflect on the importance of holistic self-care and communicate stressors more clearly to team members

    • Create a resource guide to help connect with professionals and community resources

     


The classes are a donation of $25 each, per person ($20 per couple). This fee helps cover the cost of meals served during the training as well as misc expenses.

If you have had a background check within the last 6 months, please provide a copy to us. If not, fill out the "Authorization Form" and we can run the background checks for a donation of $15
