If you are a new Christian, you have just started a new life. It can be confusing as you figure out what this means—but the most important thing to know is that you now have a relationship with Jesus, who saved you from your sins through His death on the cross. You ARE a child of God! You don’t have to have everything figured out. Following Jesus is about growing day by day, not being perfect.
No matter where you came from or what your past looks like, God’s grace is enough. When you accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you became a new creation. Your sins were forgiven!
WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAY?
2 Corinthians 5:17 (ESV): "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come!".
Romans 10:9 (ESV): because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
Ephesians 2:8 (ESV): For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God,
